I was born and raised in Buffalo.

The latest snow storm brought back many memories as a kid.

That "thaw" could take a looooooong time.

Four daze later, 60* and 90% of the 'stuff' is gone. Typical WNY weather.

24 degrees here, with heavy frost and a skiff of snow from a few days ago still on the ground.

Going to have highs just in the 20's for Thanksgiving, which are perfect temps for turkey-roasting. I can remember some where weather was so warm we had to open the windows to let some of the heat from the oven out of the house.

Winter has set in, and it's okay. Changing of the seasons, renewal of life, all that.

Have a great Thanksgiving, folks!

It's beginning to snow here. Two days ago it was 75. I wonder if our govt. is testing H.A.R.P. in Alaska. Check H.A.R.P. on youtube.

Same as Scamp. Cloudy and 32. Snow in the air but none on the ground.

We ended up with 10" of heavy snow that took out the power around noon yesterday. It came back on this morning at 5:30. We had a couple of brief false starts last night when it came on briefly and then went out again. Hope it stays on long enough to cook the turkey.

My tractor is out of commission waiting for parts so a friend will try to plow us out. It's long difficult driveway that is better suited to plowing by tractor, but I'm sure we'll get it passable before guests arrive.

A Happy Turkey to all!
