You're all wrong! You're suppose to wedge it between the countertop and the fridge door! Keeps it from flying open while driving.
If that's not correct, I'll say 'mitre saw'. That's my second guess.

Not a mystery, it is a step secure tool, I have one with mine and have used it regulary shore does good at stopping the step from caving under or twisting from kids running in and out, and from those that step on the step right side instead of the middle.
the round part goes up under the trailer against the frame at the top, the angle part sets on top of the lower step with the lip where the bar is attached pointed down.
No it does not cause damages, dents, it does however leave a scratch on the lip on the back side of the step if it has been used everytime you open the lower step where it will slide from side to the other
I place mine (if you are looking at the step) find half way then go 1/4 to the right as this is where most people step on the step and where most of the weight is applied.

We used to use a similar tool in high school: back in them olden days I had to take drafting, and we had long T-squares, ostensibly for drawing straight lines at 90 deg. angles, but sometimes the T-square would be "accidentally" used from behind some guy we didn't like, starting about knee level, then bring it up and pull back...I presume the pink part of the tool is for the victim to hold on to while he is doubled over.

I use mine to hold up the lid to the bottom compartment of my closet. Only used it when I had to change the water pump. Of course it hit me in the head when everything crashed.
I'm not the same since and have no idea what we are talking about now. Can you show the picture again?

Huh?

A very good friend of mine on the forums sent me one he made as a gift. Glad you guys finally explained what it was...So maybe he wasn't just being mean.....Uh oh..Moderators, can I recall private messages?? (kidding)
It is definitely a step brace, and once you start using it you will never quit. That sag on the second step is a bit scary.
