Well from the looks I've gotten already I'd say my AS is an outrageous work in progress.

Take one 28' Funeral Coach, remove the casket chamber from the rear end. Now that you can walk into the back from the main area it's functional for my needs. The rear area is the walk-in closet.... of course I'm a clothing rep so that helps.

The coach has a swing down headliner in the center of the coach. This will get an a/c duct next week. The 15K Air V ducted unit is is now on the rear of the coach. A/C will move down the "trunk" and be distributed from turn outs along the way as well as at the termination just behind the cockpit.

Dell laptop is mounted on the engine cover custom tray for Street Atlas navigation. It's also networked to the main computer mid coach. This has a 20" LCD monitor/tv. Of course wireless keyboard and mouse are in use as is the wireless link to the laser printer. Sprint Aircard provides full time internet connection.

Rearview camera is fed to my new Pyle 7" LCD monitor/stereo mounted in a double din opening in the dash. Considering mounting LCD monitors on each side of the cockpit in lieu of side mirrors, mounting ccd cameras to reduce drag on the exterior.

I'm looking for a graphic artist to work up my new logo. Picture the Presidential logo on Air Force One. Now picture Airstream One. The logo will have the eagle holding golf clubs in each talon. The dots above the eagle will be golf balls of course. The lettering will have to change to my name and business name. I figure one on each side of the coach and a big stars and stripes on the rear clamshell door will complete the look. Flag holders up front for stationary display of old glory will be required.

My four door AS MH has already proved to be much easier to load things into. It goes on the road full time next week. First stop will be the World Amateur Golf Tournament in Myrtle Beach SC.

How 'bout putting one on a barge?

BUT...an interesting idea just the same.
Park an Airstream on a small barge, install a Detroit Diesel Marine engine, with two electric thrusters fto move it around? Unwanted motion will be minimal.

Chickagurl, you can see some of the original photos of the coach listed in my profile. I'll be getting Airstream One back on Thursday when I return from a business trip to TX. I'm going to take some photos then. Hope to take them before moving everything over from the old ugly I've been working from.

I subscribe to the theory, "be careful what you wish for."

I'm going for a light weight version.

I saw one of these at Crystal Springs Marina at lake Ouachita in Hot Springs AR. Very kewl looking. I used to have a houseboat on that lake, at a differant marina though, I'd see it out al the time. The owners said they took some old smoke staks from an old ship and built the pontoons for it. Next time I'm there I will get some pic's.
