When we got our AS and I expressed a desire to get a pink flamingo for it, Becky baulked at the idea and said she didn't want to have any around our Airstream. So I got myself a small plastic cocktail tumbler from from the on-line AS store with a little pink flamingo inside the glass. After I used it for a coupe of months Becky started to warm up to the idea and has since started to add a couple cool pink flamingos to our growing flock. Then when shopping for lights to go on our small Christmas tree in the TT the other day she found a string of small pink flamingo LED lights. Then she found some pink flamingo ornaments. Who would have thought...

I'm sure everyone's aware of these guys but if not, they're cheap and fun to hang from the awning.

"Pretty in Pink"

Just saw this article The Tacky History of the Pink Flamingo | Arts & Culture | Smithsonian Magazine . Having been sent a pair of Featherstone originals by my wife's sister when we got our Airstream ("What's with this kind of 'trailer-warming' present?" I asked), and then "gifted" with a second pair by Janet ("There's never enough!") at the Wenatchee rally, I thought this article had to be passed on!

We have pink flamingo sheets, pink flamingo pillow cases (different from what comes with the sheets), and a pink flamingo wire statue for outside our trailer. AND on our first outing with the trailer last weekend, we stopped at an antique store, and there we found a pink flamingo ceramic statue we bought since we thought it MUST be a "sign" . I also have 3 yds of pink flamingo fabric I picked up at a quilt shop that I have no idea what I'm going to do with - I'll think of something! I'm trying to figure out how many pink flamingos are TOO many ( or is that possible?)

Just an update

The flamingo cops have been by the OP's house to collect her neon pf. Clearly a violation of the "if you gotta ask" code.

When did pink flamingoes become associated with trailer parks in Florida?
