1. The Amish in our area have asked us if we are recycling aluminum.
2. Do they still make those "things"?
3. What do you need more than one?
4. Do you really sleep in that thing?
We live in a neighborhood with a HOA and have to keep the AS in a storage facility. We are able to bring it home to work on it and it barely fits in our driveway. At first I think our neighbors were a bit concerned, but over time it has become a treat for them to come and see it and see the improvements we have made.

Michelle,

Sending positive thoughts your way.

My HOA does not allow RV's. However all my nieghbors are gearheads so it can sit out front for up to a week while I fiddle with it before the phone call comes.

My wife hates mine

Can you believe it.....my wife does not like the Caravel. She tells everyone its a "Port-a-potty." I'll show her....I am trying to get another Airstream....this time 3 feet longer. Wonder what she will call that one??

Michelle, missed you in Dallas. I had to go to Rio Grande Valley. You get this "stuff" taken care of and come by again....I have some plane rides set up for ya.

I say, leave them there if he puts the house up for sale. If someone buys while knowing about all the Airstreams, you just might have attracted the right kind of neighbor.

Wow those Amish have a dry sense of humor for sure!

Hoping those docs at Mayo get things figured out so you are back up in the air where you belong!

We're lucky our neighborhood is semi rural with no homeowner restrictions, why one guy has a burro, others have boats and rvs, and nobody thinks twice about our trailer!

We receive many of the questions that have been posted so far (i.e., why do you need more than one, can I have a tour, etc.). The one question I like the best is -- How do I choose which one to take camping.

Snobs are people too.

The only people in my expensive neighbor hood, that have made comments,
perceived my trailer to be a status symbol. Now, The Retro Rocket is living on the farm in the country. And if the country folk give me trouble, I will paint it green and tell them it is a John Deere.

What your neighbors think...

...most don't "get it".

I don't care!

Folks were complaing about my three boats, then there was the visit from the local ordanance inforcer saying someone claimed there were people living in it (in the midst of a renovation with no mattresses...I don't think so) and a reminder that the city ordanence required regestration to even park one in the yard...we got plates even though we are comercial property so the residencial ordanence does not apply, but most often the question is "Is that trailer for sale"
But no worries, the neighbor is the mayor and he does seems to like it
