Well,
We did Christmas eve here with my In-laws. That was a first, and a success!!
Today was Cristmas for just us (Lori, Cody, Emily, Sean and myself)
This afternoon, it is off to my sister's for my side of the family.
Then off to pick up Kenin Allen and to Georgia for my Christmass presant.

Sherry, that looks like Yellow Tail from Australia on your table. Shiraz or Merlot? We had Yellow Tail Shiraz with our Christmas Eve dinner last night (trying wines we've not had before)-very good! Loved your pics. You really should make this an annual!

It was the Shiraz...
I know, I know...white wines are supposed to go with seafood but we don't like whites as well ~ so it's always either a Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot or Chianti.
Cheers!
Shari

...'cause if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! Dinner was warm & toasty in the silver cocoon...thinking of turning this into an annual christmas tradition. Shari
Shari:
So, did you get any Dessert? Or is that asking for too much information?

Airstream Life "Old Aluminum Adventures"
We all honored my Mom's request to not have to cook and went out for Chinese last night; came home and the house was still clean and no dishes to do!! We exchanged presents and walked around our local "Christmas Tree Lane", also, another street that has a "Luminaria Lane" on a quiet evening. Christmas Day tried to stall our daughter to open "Chrithtmath prethentth from Thanta!!!!" until we could be a little semi-conscious, but she ran back and forth from the living room to our bedroom describing each present one at a time. Too cute to stay asleep.
We all played with her toys, took a hot tub, took showers, and now she's playing dominoes with Daddy while I surf. I might rake leaves. A day of rest and reflection. No electronics under the tree this year.
There's a house on our street that has the party juju going. They just leave their front door open and people show up. We don't leave our little dead end street on holidays. The party comes to us! We usually stay until right after midnight and come back to our house three doors down to go to bed.
Quiet and restful, but not boring. Life is good!
Merry Christmas to all,

Ahhhhh- the last load of dishes are in the dishwasher, Bryan has finally stopped playing with that darn Whoppie Cushion, Steve is taking a "little nap", the chickens are in the hen house, the cats are passed out from overdosing on my sister's home grown cat nip, everyone is well fed (baked stuffed shrip last night, egg benadict this am - so much for the old diet ) and happy with their gifts - Steve got me two, count 'em two Maxx Air Fans for the GT - lovely time spent with friends and family.
All is good with the world.....

Ditto to the above, it's red zin for us and I find it just perfect with anything edible, even the clams and frenchbread we had for X-mas eve (though not in our AS....that looked very festive and cozy!) Christmas at home was prime rib with our son and girlfriend and the highlight was watching Ernie tear open his gifts from Santa.....that was priceless! Though missing daughter and family in Ga it was a great holiday, we have much to be thankful for
