If I ever win the lottery, I'd stay the same person I am today.
My poor decisions, however, will become gloriously epic.

Most people do not realize how much money $600 Million after taxes is (Lump Sum)

Hire an attorney for life and hire our current financial person and his assistant for life
Hire security - Former Seals and Special Ops for us and our children
Hire several personal assistants to field all the requests for money (in our state you cannot remain anonymous)
Pay off every debt of our children and our relatives
Give each child $25 Million in trust
Give each niece and nephew $1Million in trust
Buy a bullet proof vest for every working K9 in the US
Buy several homes in "special places"
Fund several charities that are directed at helping PTSD and K9 PTSD
Fund the rescue my wife and I helped get started forever
Fund the Warrior Dog Foundation - forever
While traveling from home to home donate to causes in each town where someone has endured a family catastrophic event they will never financially recover from, we would fund the recovery

After initial expenses as outlined above just play with the money and try to stay healthy

I happen to know someone who in one night went from ok financially to over $150,000,00 and never thought about such things as security. He has told me over and over "if you ever win the lottery security becomes the number one thing you need to concern yourself with" - "your life will never be the same, it will be nice, you can buy whatever you want, but kidnapping becomes an every day thought".

Good Luck to all.

Bud

Something like the movie "The Mouse that Roared".
Buy an island then declare war on the US.
The government drops a bomb or two, I give up and I get war reparations money.
It's going to be more than what I had to give for taxes on winning the powerball.
I'm a player in the game of world domination, paid by your taxes.

Or, I'm just a financier for the real winner, , ,

Bud, you really have the right idea! I think, after I called my M.D., and asked him to come over and be sure I didn't have a heart attack! (Just after I realized I am the winner!)
Then, call a security company , made up of special ops and seals....really big guys..with really big guns. Then, an attorney, financial advisor, cpa.

My Joe was career USAF. I was an RN in USAF hospitals during VN . I WOULD DONATE BIG $$$ to wounded warriors, and K9s. Also, buy every wounded warrior that needs one, a track wheelchair.

Isn't it fun to dream?!

Finally get around to replacing the old waste basket in the kitchen. Buy a nice can opener that works halfway decent. New Speed Queen washer and dryer. Tankless hot water heater.

I might buy a new cover for my Coleman A/C or heck, maybe I should just replace the whole A/C unit. New faucets for the tub, too. LED's in all the light fixtures.

Dream? I've got the winning number. Thanks for your service, both of you. I too was USAF, - CCT but became an MTI.

I'll post when I win.

You know, with that kind money, I'll bet you could arrange a personal call to The Donald and ask what firm he uses for personal security. Or maybe the Rothschilds.

Let's be careful out there.......

I was lucky once, had money. Then my only child was killed in an accident. I quickly realized how much more important he was than anything I could possibly own and the money meant nothing. Nothing. Years passed, I had no worth, I didn't care. After the horror subsided and my depression somewhat abated I recognized my worth was what others felt about me and what I could do for them. I am a master naturalist and I do quite a bit of volunteerism already. I know where most of that money is needed.

Although, I would trade it all - and my own life, without a seconds thought to have my son back. Just saying'.

For all of you who have been patiently waiting to hear, I'm sorry to report to you that I didn't win. Darn, I was going to get the truck tuned up with my winnings.

Jeepers,
I am sorry for your loss and I know how it hurts to lose a child. I lost one to breast cancer 25 years ago and 2 to an auto accident 10 years later. It rips your heart out. My faith is all that saved me. When my Lynn was dying, I begged God to take me instead. It doesn't work that way! We grieve, keep our memories deep in our heart, put one foot in front of the other, and eventually....God willing...we come out the other side with a stronger faith and appreciate the one child and grandchildren I still have. God bless you.

I didn't even buy a ticket.

Couldn't bring myself to descend into the hysteria and do the long lines.

My daughter and her hubby had bought some, and she was in an office pool, so I figured we were covered.

Yea, right. In my experience, stuff trickles downhill, but I've never heard of any flowing in the other direction.

She would have shared, because that's the kind of woman she is...at least in part, I'm sure, because that is what her mom has always done with she and her brother when I have had windfalls.
