Jack

Wow Jack, very impressive.

And you are a LOT younger than I'd thought

Hi Happycampers!

No, I'm not from there. We were there for about 2 1/2 years in the late 1970's for my dad to start up a Union Carbide plant. I got to go back through there in 2003 on the way to the Mosport racetrack and see the old stomping grounds. Our old neighbors were still there, and they remembered me! We now communicate by mail. What fun.

Have a great day!

Susan

I was on WDSE ch. 8 in Duluth Mn. in about 1966 for school. I don't remember what it was for though. Then in about 1968 I was on the Mr. Toot show (like bozo show) on WDSM ch. 6 with our Cub Scout pack also in Duluth. Tom

I've been on a few times while working emergency incidents, and once gave an interview related to a fire investigation class I was assisting with. All local stuff.

Merv Griffin

My wife and I were successful contestants on Merv Griffin's "Play Your Hunch" for seven continuous days in December 1958. I was a doctoral student at Columbia University in NYC, and the experience helped me pay the tuition money, which up to that time was in short supply. We had a truly memorable time. . . and our families and friends out west were excited to see us every day for a week. Merv and his staff were very kind to us!

I try to avoid such things! But I think I was briefly on camera while in the audience at an AM Northwest filming a couple years ago.

Our theater group did a production of 'Much Ado' which I directed and my husband starred in, and the local cable station came and filmed it. It was pretty cool to work with the camera men to make sure they were set up to capture all the action. They brought in three or four HUGE cameras! They did a fine job, and it showed on cable pretty regularly whenever they had a spot to fill. People actually recognized Dave when we were out in restaurants! He's the real celebrity

Allright, for those interested,

NBC news 9 minutes
CBS news 2 minutes
NOVA 1 minute

Topics were self-defense and wildfire fighting.

Oh, and one movie which went nowhere.

And a rock band...

Every dog has his day...
And then its over,
I got used to it.

Twice -

Once as a small child, around 7 or so, singing in a group of other kids. It wasn't nationwide TV, I think it was just broadcast in eastern Ontario - but I do remember my cute Hawaiian outfit.

The second time was on Spring Break in Florida - was on Much Music (Canada's version of MTV) shaking my booty on the dance floor.

Oh the shame...!!
