What is "GMC" ??
Had a friend with a Chevy truck that had GMC emblems on the dash..Hey it looks good.. Leave it alone if it were mine.. Just keep it looking as good as it does now Becky,, All the Best, Ralph..Oh by the way,,anybody know what GMC stands for??? (Not a trick question)

Uhh, that's what two GMC VP's told me, at different times. If it was a bit of revisonist history, they both were pretty glib about it.

My answer is also from a VP about a yr ago..They had it as a trivia question on a radio show he was on.. One guy finally got it.. I was shocked as to what it stood for,, I never knew,, Thought it was General Motors Corporation.. I was WRONG!!!!

It was originally GMC Truck, later "modernized" to just GMC.
Gabowski's name was never part of the company.
