What happened to the Salt Lake City dealer?

I visited the Salt Lake City airstream dealer a few years ago and was very impressed. They also had excellent new parts they were making for vintage trailers. I also had seen their advertising on this site.
Now I see that there is a new dealer in the city.
What happened to the original dealer?

Seems like a different owner. A young Russian guy owned it.

Anyone who actually dealt with him probably can guess what happened. I'll just leave it at that.

Can't speak for the happenings there. The company changed names a bunch of times but I received an email from them recently that they've moved the parts operation to the Seattle, WA area. He was doing parts and vintage repair in that general area before buying the dealership. Silver Trailer Supply is the company. I did buy a couple things from them and they seemed to do fine for me, but others may have had different results.

Google says they are still there and open today.

Looks like they can do some neat things?

See the second paragraph here:

Dimitri, the previous owner of the franchise, was able to keep the mail-order business, "Silver Trailer Supply," going here in Salt Lake City for a while, and apparently, as mentioned, has moved to the Seattle area.

The new owners seem to have the resources to rebuild the business. It's in the same location, at the intersection of I-80 and I-15. Easy to spot from the freeway.

Airstream of Utah

We opened the Airstream of Utah dealership in Salt Lake City in February 2017. We're a family run business. The former owner lost his license a couple of years ago and Salt Lake City had been without a dealership for a few years. The former owner was selling parts in the same building as us but has moved to Washington. We are not connected with him or his business. We do have resources to find some vintage parts. Give us a call and we'll do our best to help. 801-890-4363.
