I would love to, Uwe, but I can't.....it's not because I don't want to, but because of past issues I've had with some posts, I would be perceived as biased....I can't go into it further, sorry.

By a strange coincidence, considering the subject of this thread, the forums says I have to spread around some karma before giving you more...
Anybody else want some karma, so I can give some to Shari?...
BTW, this is post #9000...wheee...

No, that was my Charlie Brown yell, because sometimes that's how I feel.....I don't like feeling like my hands are tied behind my back, especially being in the military. In my profession there are two ways to resolve a situation: 1)Through diplomacy or 2) Through death and destruction, when Option 1 fails. The cool thing is that my Special Forces training has taught me really neat ways to implement Option 2

Option 2 can get expensive with all the plane fair involved with "visiting" disenting forum members...

Just kidding. I kinda like the challenge of formulating a "friendly" response when some moron posts an idiotic response to a thread. Makes me a better person.

My battle cry is more of "everyone is entitled to their opinion".

Just make sure your opinion doesn't rock the boat or cause someone to feel bad about themselves......

Diplomacy is saying "nice doggy" until you find a big stick...

It's free, and worth at least that much--most of the time...

That has never worked for me.
There are just some taboo things to talk about on here. There are also some taboo people that certain users are told to avoid.
I speak from experience.
It all could be compared to walking on eggshells.

WOW, this thread got weird quickly, didn’t it?

Well, it could be worse. It could be a JANFU, or MAAFU or maybe even degenerate into an AFFU (but that would redundant, wouldn’t it?) Frederick, ever watch Band of Brothers? In the first hour, when the boys are running Currahee for the umpteenth time, Lt. Winters singles out an excellent example of how a soldier should complain. A lot like it was in the Q-Course, don’t complain, just do.

BTW, PM me all you want. I have pretty good grasp on reality.

Oh yeah, and what UWE said. Pretty good advice.

Jim

Have I ever seen Band of Brothers......that's standard issue for the modern soldier.....well if I had my way it would be.

Thanks for the offer on the PM, Jim.

The first six hours of B.O.B. should be required for all United States Citizens, IMHO.

We stand on the shoulders of those that came before us.

We play it for our "students", when they've been good little soldiers in class.
