It was a one day type auction...and no one out there, thankfully, took the bait... though really wonder how they got so many positive feedback from buying...

I have visions of a guy in a trenchcoat in a dark alley...
"Pssst!....Hey buddy! Wanna buy an Airstream?"

Scam baiting...

Scam baiting is a great hobby! I had a guy from Nigeria buy a non-existent horse from me for $7200 to film a non-existent movie. I still have the (very badly done) fake cashier's check. It was even more fun 'cause I baited him using my police department email account! At least I made him spend the time and money on Fed-Ex to get it to me (they probably took Fed-Ex too...) and while he was trying to jerk me around, he wasn't scamming some poor soul who would have paid him. It tied up at least part of his scam time for a week and a half. He sure got hot (by email) when I told him his forgery skills and workmanship were pretty poor, and that HE'd just been scammed! His language was NOT very pleasant!

Hmmmm...the auction does seem a bit fishy. I noticed some of the auctions he won only shipped within the USA. That would tend to indicate that he is located in the states...

It also looks to me to be hooked up to an American truck also in one of the photos. Hope it's not some little old lady trying to get rid of it after her European vacation!!....I do believe it looks fishy...I watched the auction end last night...could it have been had for $100???!!! doubtful.....

i have read that sometimes they use usa addresses to throw people off for scams....

right now i just want to know why i can't use any capital letters....though i have seen where scammers use all caps...at least i don't look like a scammer...

someone could offer this person fifty bucks and see what they say....i am too afraid to mess with someone who may be a scammer, i am just not that savvy....

We dragged a scammer along for a few weeks one time. He was trying to run his scam on our business. But we tired of the game and let him go after a while, after all, you never know if they might have some way of coming after you. Finally we gave him our 'contact numbers' at the Secret Service office that investigates these things. I hope he found someone to talk to there...

Aww, phooey! You're all just paranoid, probably after years of bad purchasing decisions, don't blame this guy.

I for one choose to believe that all people are inherently good, and to put my money where my mouth is I just went to the bank, pulled out $1900 in one hundred dollar bills, and I'm sending it to this seller today, just to prove you all wrong. When my awesome Excella shows up, (so cool it took two years to build it) I'll have the last laugh on all of you.

You believe me? Aww... looks like you've been scammed!

Brad,
Shame on you! I know that bank, as you call it, is the color copier in your basement. Be sure to use colorfast ink.

I sent an email to them 2 days ago asking for the location and got no reply.

As we don't know for sure if this a scam (alledged), I offer this link to some guys that did string a rip-off along.

http://www.zug.com/pranks/powerbook/index.html

Good read and funny if you have the time.
