Well it started for the information at first, but now it's the social aspect. I've met a lot of neat people, and what's nice is I don't have to get up for early morning breakfast or wear a funny hat!

Nor do you have to get dressed up! You can reply while sipping coffee in your PJ's or while you are dirty and grimy from working on the A/S. No one cares what you look like!

I had to go with the first three. I did check the "other" also because some times I just need the support group aspect of this place.

One of the missing categories for the poll was road trips. I find this forum extremely helpful (due to its' membership and experience) when planning a trip to somewhere we have not traveled previously. This forum is great on many levels.

I voted Socialization because I am still hanging around despite selling my Airstream and going to a Sprinter campervan. There is still enough interest on Sprinters, internet access, camping life, road trips, etc. to make this forum interesting. But who knows? I may eventually buy another Airstream.

Ditto

I also included karma in my vote. It's fun to dish it out.

The forums are a fabulous resource for info and socialization on all fronts, but today I really like it because I FINALLY have some downtime while at work and this is the next best thing to being AWAY from work and in my Airstream!

I also like the forum because it is available 24/7. So, on those nights when I have trouble sleeping, I can login and utilize the site without waking hubby!

Barry,

A very elegant thought, well put.

Thumbs up The forum rallies are great too! Nice thread!

Do we have to pick just one reason? All great posts with lovely reasons why.
Rallies---Guess that falls under socialization. We've been to two forum rallies so far and have had wonderful experiences at both. Fun streamers of all ages with kids in the mix too!

"leapfrogging"

I enjoy the ability to not have to make the same mistakes (er, Learning Opportunities) as others and to "leapfrog" past those to the "ideal state." Although, even with the excellent coaching of Forum Members I still seem to struggle in the "execution" phase.

I enjoy hearing about all the rallys, the resorations, and all the funny things fellow Forum members experience. I have learned so many safety tips. I have avoided spending a ton on money on the wrong things. And, unfortunately, I have also been encouraged to spend a ton of money on some really cool stuff that has added a lot to our camping experience.

Mostly, I have learned to be thankful for the AS community!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!!!

Although we've putting Airstreaming aside for the last few years for boating, it's really meant a lot to me to have this forum notify me via email of new private messages, as well as responses to some of the old threads I've subscribed to. Great feature.
