I was wondering what that "background" noise was. I thought you were doing the dishes.

I have a little video same scene as that photo. La Gringa is going to find some music for it.

Hey, the last big trip I took in my Fleetwood Jamboree was from Cape Cod to Niagara. Went all round the falls. Toured the fort. My sons were kids. 20 years and two divorces ago.

Thumbs up Winterizing the boat...

Finished yesterday.

Before putting the boat away for Winter I decided to research a change I wanted to make.

Outboards don't have clutches, it's a "bang" in gear set-up, very hard on the internals. Especially when towing skiers etc.

I re-wired the shifter so I'm now able to start in neutral, forward and reverse.
I know it don't sound like much...but it just may save some $$$$ down the line.

I'm finishing up a week parked beside the waters of Lake Marble Falls, where for some reason even in a 2++ year drought the river/lake is full, just doesn't allow any water to flow on downstream. Anyway, evening temps in the hi 40' to low 50's, daytimes in the hi 70's, the simple pleasue of sitting outside late in the evening, sipping some nice champers or on an ice cold long neck Shiner beer & seeing the lights of the city gleaming on the waters, the moon giving it all that special glow & that old owl hooting away downstream. A few deer move thru late at night, but not often.

For those who love Park Avenue or 5th Avenue, and 'The City' - I really do understand. I had the life experience of living in central London for a few years, and treasured each & every moment of it, and still go back on visits as often as I can. But for this Texas boy, the rejuvination of my soul right here on a Texas stream, life just doesn't get much better.

And THAT folks is what I did with my Airstream today. Was that was the thread's question? My thoughts kinda drifted down stream a bit.

There was a time when I would go a long ways out of my path for a Shiner Bock.

And I'm a fifth generation Texan with ya on most of it. But the only view I enjoy of a city is in a rear view mirror.

We'd LOVE to take our two to the USA, but Uncle Sam says NOPE. Ain't got no airbags. Uncle Sam insists on airbags. No matter what the rest of the world is doing.

Yesterday I applied for membership at the local Elks Lodge... They have a great location along the Sacramento River Trail. Plus they have 20 RV sites, with full hookups in the parking lot. A couple of our close friends live within walking distance of the Lodge, so it will be nice to park Rita at the Elk's when we go to dinner parties.

On the other side of this deal... I have been wanting to join an organization that is helping local charities; Like our local Veteran's Cemetery, the homeless, and the Boy & Girl Scouts.

Support our troops by going to a local event today!!!!!
