What Did You Do For Labor Day 2009?
We spent the weekend eating lobster and crab, boating, and socializing with kmtyme.

We spent it with our sketching group where we had our FIRST group show at a coffee house/bakery ( Top Drawers’ blog), going to the movies (Julie & Julia) and eating homemade pizza, soups, and quiche, and bike riding on the tandem. It was a perfect weekend!

Looks like you had a great time. I was going to go kayaking but the lake was too crowded to be safe.

Airstream Life
We spent a beautiful weekend visiting with Rich, Eleanor and Emma Luhr (of Airstream LIfe Magazine fame!), who are driveway camping at our house. More Airstream friends joined us for a picnic yesterday and we had a great time visiting. They will leave for JC tomorrow and we will be sad to see them go!

We had a BBQ, with Terry(overlander63) & Marie(sd90mac) and their dog Sophie, of course . We enjoyed burgers, homemade potato salad, fruit salad, with peanut butter/cream cheese brownies for dessert (YUM!)

We had them over on Sunday, along with our son, dil and their friends, for barbeque, the noun not the verb. I wonder which was better, my barbeque or your burgers.
Have a great time Mary.

We did, thanks.
They mentioned they went to your place. Boy they sure get around. Quite the social butterflies they are.

And I even wore pants! (inside joke)
Both outings were equally good, but our bathroom scale is whimpering.

We stayed home and let all the 'amateur' campers compete for spaces at the area's campgrounds...and took our 6 month old grandson in tow so our kids could enjoy a weekend out of town - we're now worn out!

We also stayed away from the last of the summer crowds. Looking forward to the Steens Mtn rally - our first. Followed up by a trip to the WA state coast to spend a few days with my sister and brother-in-law. Trying to plan a trip a month. Sorta like the tie/fruit etc of the month club. So far we have been successful. But the winter months will may but a damper on my TAM,

We are one of 6 Airstreams at the Terra Port at JC, waiting for early am service appointments this morning. Always fun to meet fellow travelers.

We stayed at home and entertained our Daughter and 3 month old grandaughter whose dad just left for Iraq last Sunday. Uncle and nephews also present for the festivities. Burgers and dogs on the grill with trimmings a homemade ice cream. The Pod sat in its home site awaiting another opportunity for adventure.

Enjoyed both outings, Sophie had a great time to. She slept all the way home from Maryw164's and wkerfoot's places.

The Mrs had to work. Football Friday, recovering Saturday. I took the kids to the beach, ferry ride to Galveston Sunday and spent time with the WHOLE family at a family get together yesterday.....always good food!

We took our maiden voyage with our 1977 Argosy Minuet 6.0 Metre! Towed it up to the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont, where we spent 3 days mountain biking. There is nothing like having a hot shower in the trailer in the parking lot after riding!
Lovely area, and we absolutely adore the trailer. Tows like a breeze behind our minivan, plenty of room for the 2 of us, no major repair issues to deal with.
