Since it appears that we might have to pay federal income taxes next year, our "stimulus" check will be returned in the form of an estimated payment for the 2008 tax year. Easy come; easy go.

For those of you in other places, the stimulus rebate is a check from the US government that the recipients are supposed to spend to help out their favorite retailer.
That's an oversimplification, but the gist is there.
