I've read that and loved it. I've given it as a gift a few times too. I'm actually reading an Agatha Christie book published about her notebooks. Interesting, but I usually need a good Poirot mystery for my Chrisite fix.

Neil Gabler's Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination is my most recent read. My wife was reading something about a bunch of shades of gray. I'll live in my fantasy world and she can have her's.

Oh, geez, I've read over 200 books since getting the Kindle a year and a half ago, especially since the advent to borrowing ebooks from the library. Favorites? Oh, pretty much anything by Nevada Barr, Tony Hillerman (of course), Steve Brewer, Margaret Coel, Sue Grafton, Marcia Muller, Connie Shelton, or Michael Connelly (current read). Those are all mysteries. As far as others are concerned, a couple of major standouts are Charles Mann (1491, 2nd edition) and Hampton Sides (Blood and Thunder).

Lately I been searching the Kindle cheapo book bin at Amazon. 100 books under five bucks or whatever it is.

In addition, check with the larger of the public libraries in your area to see if they're carrying ebooks. I check most of mine out from the Albuquerque / Bernalillo Co. Public Library. It's easy!

Am working on a stack on the AS bedside table about airlines that have gone Tango Uniform - Pan Am, Braniff, Pacific Western, and Western.

Have put them away for a bit. Right now I'm reading a lot of current-event magazines like Time and Newsweek because of the upcoming US election.

If you enjoy historical non-fiction, I recently finished Destiny of the Republic about James Garfield. I'm currently reading The President's Club. Both are terrific1

I go through a book a week and have for many years, 2 years ago I got a Sony ereader, same as Kindle and others, the best invention ever!! I watch for the 50 cent weekends, the 2 for 1, the 3 for 1, 4 for 1 sales almost every other weekend and buy all kinds of books for next to nothing, also when I get tired and the eyes get week you can enlarge the print!
As for books, I read, James Rollins, Steve Berry, Kathy Reichs, Iam Flemming and all the other Bond authors, Jack Higgins, Stephen King, James Kohury, and just about aything else I can find.

Just finished Bear Gryll's memoir, Mud, Sweat and Tears and Running with The Kenyans by a writer with the Guardian in England. Also the Steve Jobs biography. Fortunate to have a city library with a really good acquisitions program and they do a great job with non fiction.

Jack, I picked that up at the library and started it, but will have to finish later. It started off as a very good read.
