Been baking, and cleaning, and tomorrow, grocery shopping so we can have turkey! (and other good stuff) Christmas Day. Have invited some friends for early afternoon meal. Had to encourage hubby to postpone a few hours' work on A/S to help get ready (he's a dear)!
Still trying to get windows fixed/leaks stopped (in A/S). Today he's been dreaming about polishing -- guess that's something to look forward to when more mundane tasks are finished. (Have to find out -- what is that about looking at bellypan?)
New Year's? We'll cross that bridge when we get there, but I think it's been a few years since we actually saw the stroke of midnight. And the new year still arrived!

Staying in, staying warm for Christmas Day. Had the opportunity to see the Chiefs play Oakland-passed. Too darn cold no matter how much antifreeze liquid I imbibe. So will do turkey with Mom and husband, then, watch the game from the warmth of home. New Year's Eve is still unplanned. Wouldn't want to rush to make plans...
We are flying to Orlando, FL tomorrow for a few days to see our daughter and more importantly our granddaughter, age 18 months, since we haven't seen a picture of her in over 5 months!
We just had our Christmas with our other daughter tonight. Our son is in Bolivia, South America. We talked to him on the telephone yesterday. We are planning a trip to Bolivia this coming August. By then we hope to meet a new grandchild there.
One son and his family are flying in tomorrow morning from their ski trip in Colorado while one daughter drives in from KC. One son lives with us, and our other daughter and her family live a mile down our road from us. Kids and grandsons are gathering here Christmas Eve for crab leg and shrimp dinner and early gifts. After Christmasmornings at their homes, they'll be back for Christmas Day and Prime Rib roast dinner all together. Somewhere in there some of us will drive to my mother's Christmas Eve day to share a little Christmas with her. New Year's. . .the grandsons (ages 15 to 3) usually encamp at our place while their parents go out. Max and I may slip out to Gypsy to raise a toast to travels in the year to come. We grands celebrate with sparkling grape juice and loud crackers to bring in the new year, that is if we old grands haven't fallen asleep several hours too soon! Remembering the birth of that holy Baby and praying for peace in our world, Merry Christmas to all!

"If aluminum isn't magnetic- why am I so attracted to to it?"
we Airstreamed to St Augustine Fl for the past 5 days, and will relax at home for awhile.
Winterized quickly when I got back as temps are dropping into the 20s here tonight.

Thinking of warming up Maxwell for a quite Christmas Eve lobster dinner for two in the backyard. Although, I'm having a hard time convincing Rob that it could be fun with the current temp. hovering at +8 degrees and dropping to -5 tonight. We'll see how tomorrow goes ~

NOT! the weather forecast is too cold for outside work.
I should be home by early afternoon Christmas Eve, hopefully the better half will make it in, at the moment she is hungup in Newark, NJ waiting on an aircraft. Christmas Breakfast with the inlaws, Christmas dinner with my parents, sister, my son and daughter, the other 2 brothers won't be in due to travel distance. Then Sunday back to life as usual...on the road again. New's Years? I can barely plan 24 hours in advance much less a week

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
Spending Christmas with friends and neighbors down here in Florida, while the relatives all freeze their butts off in Ohio! Most of them don't understand why we did not come back for the holidays. We are going to deep fry a turkey Christmas day.
