Verizon to bump up grandfathered plan price.
Verizon's Bumping 'Grandfathered' Unlimited Data Price by $20 | DSLReports, ISP Information
looks like Verizon is really trying to get rid of the old data plans one and for all.
Read it a weep....

A $20/month increase on an unlimited grandfathered account is no big deal. Consider the alternatives, you'll still get nowhere near the value.

Verizon
Yup, as I have no primary internet access other than Verizon, do hundreds of photos with image sizes in the 5MB range, some of the McDonalds and other free wiFi sites see me often buying my senior coffee. LOL
And this is at the 20GB per month plan for about a million dollars a month as I remember....more LOL

Carl it's exactly what Verizon is attempting to do and they have so stated in business trade journals. They want to eliminate unlimited plans. But at $20 it's still a good deal if one uses lots of data.

Well, Not Exactly
If you are under a contract, you are not subject to the price increase.
Wish I could say more, but I work for their sister company, so me mouth shall stay shut.

I really hate to hear that as we have an old Verizon unlimited data plan that we depend on for a wifi hotspot while on the road in the Airstream.
We don't really have any choice as we travel to remote locations and Verizon is the only cell service available. The other national services just aren't as good.
We have also found that most campground wifi is junk and we use our own hotspot about 90% of the time.
As our on-line business requires solid Internet access on a daily basis, I guess we will just have to grin and bear it.

Hmmm....when I upgraded to 4g a couple of years ago, I had to relinquish my unlimited data.

As a full timer, the unlimited plan would open a vast world of entertainment.
Streaming movies is just too much data use with out the unlimited plan.
Would love to get a reasonablely priced one with Verizon, but they don't seem to be headed that way.
Cheers Richard

Doesn't bother me, it's still a better value than their other turd plans.
Data is the new cash cow, and we won't see unlimited return until they invest in their network and enough people start demanding it.

LOL. You have no choices. Now bend over and take what you're given. Pretty much the motto of these companies.
