Wink Valentines thoughts...

I'm not an Airstreamer yet. I've never even slept in mine, but I admire those staged rally photos of finely set dinette tables with candlelight and fine china. I've always felt that being close to nature was very romantic and I bet that trailer camping can be an ideal place to draw nearer to your mate.

Does anybody have a story (G rated) that they care to share? Like moonlight over Mohave or Poetry in the Poconos? If I'm going to "sell" this TT camping idea to my wife I'd do well to show it's not all about bug spray, paper plates and poison ivy.

Thanks,

Steve

Hey Steve ( fellow 20 footer)
1. You might want to take a solo tune up trip to work the bugs out and
gain some experience, so things will go smoothly.

2. Encourage your honey to decorate the trailer, with flowers or
girl stuff. ( Tell her it needs a womans touch )

3. Take her somewhere nice or where there is something to do.
Maybe a music festival ( not Nascar )

4. Let her know that camping is a womans vacation from chores.
Pamper her. ( pre cook food and freeze it, it will keep the beer cold)

5. Tell her you love her and that Doctor Phil says that quality alone time
is essential to a healthy relationship so that you won't become
dysfuntional.

6. Tell her that Mandolin Dave says that Airsteams are meant to
be filled with " I love you's " It's all about the love. I think
Wally said " Love more, do more " or something like that?
It's the Airsteam motto...........I think?

Don't worry . I bet she will really enjoy it. Sorry, we do have many
romantic memories, but I'm not talkin'.

Airstream magic? Let me count the places. . .Grand Marais, MN, full moonshine trail from the sky across the harbor almost to our door, two glasses of wine, shhh!. . . Boulder River camp site, rushing burbling water music spilling just beyond our door, two glasses of wine, shhh! . . . Many Glacier Campground, tall pines, sunshine, sweet resin aroma, two glasses of wine. . .you get the picture? Nothing could be finer!

Invite her to pick out over the top linens for your trailer. High thread count sheets, a down comforter and duvet, new pillows.... women are linen junkies!

Go camping in the driveway, order pizza delivered to the trailer door, serve it with champagne - yep you read right - champagne and... leave the phone in the house!

Those photos from rallies with fine china et. al. are not staged (usually) We have better stuff in the trailer than the house - it's sort of like visiting a 5 star hotel - no tipping required.

Have you considered offering her a massage on the gaucho? Just a massage... no strings attached....

Some day we all come to this place in life http://www.airforums.com/forum...ghlight=makeup
Now my wife caught me dumpsters diving at the local florist shop for roses. Luckily she loves me and thinks, this was a sweet move but doesn’t know how to explain it anyone that saw me.

HA - don't ask Janet about HER stories!!! Just kidding ..... well... maybe not : > ! I think a night under the stars is TRE romantic. It really doesn't get any better. Family time is nice too, but an evening (or two) as a pair really works well

Camping in the desert, with the moon glow on the smooth 34 feet of aluminum, tall cactii surrounding us, and small desert creatures nearby. The glow of the dying campfire, and the quiet contentment of two lovers, sitting watching a million stars, comfortable in our own company, and our sleek and beautiful home...

Be sure to add two LaFuma reclining chairs to the provisioning so you can both settle back as Theo describes to watch the moon glow or starshine. Shopping and stocking for such romantic getaways may be just the ticket to intrique your wife, Steve.

This is gonna hurt guys.

Airstream trailers are COZY places. You are immersed in a closeness usually not available at home, in a hotel or anyplace else. That is one of the great things about it. You can really relate with each other. You are in each others space and in a new adventuresome place at the same time. Exciting!

But I have to say it was at it's best BEFORE WE BOUGHT THE FLAT PANEL TV!

Post Bravo Karyn

Actually my wife and I now use it in the driveway to hide from the kids. No TV needed LOL.
