Using the HOV lane

When towing our A/S with two people in the TV, can we use the HOV lane?

Thanks;

John

I would NEVER do it, that is an express lane and you'll just get some speed demon on your rear bumper "encouraging" you to go too fast.

Also in some areas you can't even take a commercial vehicle like a dump truck in the HOV lanes. It's Passenger Vehicles Only around here.

In WA State the cops set up in the HOV lanes for the express purpose of catching the "speed demons".

You'd have to check Washington but in Utah, no trailers or vehicles over 12000 gvw so even a few tv's are technically a no go.

I realized I had to get ny wife Michele out of Gig Harbor more often when several years ago we were driving up to Seattle and she said to me "Honey there's two of us in the car. You can get over into the HIV lane". I said no, we don't want to go there.

I was in heavy traffic one friday morning envious of everyone that could take advantage of the HOV lane. I saw a big Class A Winnebago fly by and thought it was maybe the first time I had seen a motorhome in that lane when all of a sudden traffic came to a quick halt but he was going way too fast and crushed a mini van all the way up to the rear wheels. He was actually able to get the rear duals to lock up but there is way too much weight there to stop quickly. After seeing that I would be too nervous to try it.

Hi, in California there are no trailers allowed in the Diamond lanes, but I see commecial trucks in there all the time. Must be legal, but it shouldn't be.
