Used Original Axles, For Project, How to List them 4Sale

We have a set of used Axles. They came off a 65 Tradewind and come with the brake and bearings. We were told they could make good project Axles for yard trailers or things like that.

If we list them locally on Craigslist what should the proper verbiage be.

If they do not sell we will take them to the metal scrap yard. Just looking for ideas for proper verbiage in the potential for sale add.

BambiTex that's a great start. Should I refer to them by their original name, origin or weight (that is no longer rated for) ?

Put "Vintage Airstream" and "Perfect for a Tiny House Build" or "She-Shed" accessory, then double your price.

Sell them for what you could get at the scrap yard, that way the buyer won't be too upset when he finds out they are no good for anything, and you won't have to be the one to move them.

Bring them to your nearest metal recycler, then give, not sell, them there. By donating them, you'll accomplish all the following, probably more: helping the recycler stay recycling, knowing the metal will be used in a new something else, disposing of them without any of the hassles of trying to successfully sell junk, precluding the chance of them being re-used (as axles) by a person unsuspecting/unqualified to know they could be dangerous...

Decision reached, consider it done.

The consensus is they are being donated to the shop that took them off and they will add them to their regular scrap pile and we'll cross it off the to do list.

As usual thx for the answers.

Adding "TORSION AXLE" to your ad would help the description.

Thank you Andy for chiming in. They've been on CL for awhile and no takers. We'll be responsible and recycle
