I've admired the atavars of the US map showing states that members have visited. I personally wish we all had this on our posts-I think it's colorful and really interesting. So much so, that I would like to use this atavar also. Therefore, I'm begging. Is this design available to share? If so, do those of you who are using this atavar mind the sharing? And, finally, if it is for share, how do we do it? Thanks in advance! ~G (I Guess I danced around that topic, didn't I! ~Don't want to offend anyone.)

Go, Mizzou...Tigers on the prowl!
This is something I've been looking for! Thanks. I have personally visited just about every state, but I will only be filling in the states that I have stayed overnite in with the Airstream. As you can see from the attachment, I have alot more camping to do!!!
Thanks so much. I see I'm not alone in liking this! Now, more help please. I saved mine in the smallest size offered: 198 X 100. However, that is not the teeny map I see as your avatars. Will someone walk me through the sizing and then placing this map as an avatar? Thanks, again. ~G

1) Save the map in the medium size.
2) Go to User CP in panel at top of page
3) Choose "Edit avatar"
4) Choose to browse your hard drive to find the map you saved
5) That's it.
Terry!!! I'm shocked!!! Just don't come up here between May and end of July. The skeets and flies will carry you away. Annoyingly, some smarty types introduced a non-biting fly to the northwoods to parasitize some other nasty -- and they've taken over. Now.... August and September are divine. All the critters so anxious to reproduce earlier in the year have laid back with a cigarette and say, "Me? I'll bite somebody tomorrow..."
My states map shows only Mississippi (took a nap in the AS as I was working on her). I agree, this is going to be a record of my AS travels, and I am just starting.
Then Clancy Boy, I cheated because I did count our SOB camping. But I am keeping a journal just for our Airstream travels. I am glad to hear you have been in 44 states. I had almost posted and asked you if you had never been out of Missisippi, and then rethought the unlikelihood of that!
Here's all the states I've been to, but for my avatar I only used the states we've slept in the trailer in. Too bad when I went to OK our friend insisted we stay in her guest room!
I guess we need to take a trip this summer and get more of those states filled in!

Although it's true, there are some people in Mississippi that have never left the state, I am not one of them. I cannot find a good reason to leave the state and am most happy when I am home. My job has taken me to more places than I like, some good - some bad, none are like home. Right now I am in the Persian Gulf Region and think everyday "what the He%$ am I doing here?". If the country has a port, there is a good chance I've been there.
I hope to have about 5 states filled in this year and will make a trip west next spring. I'll catch up with you guys soon enough, one state at a time.

I used a photo program to open my avatar in after saving it to my hard drive. Once it was open there I had the ability to re-size it and then I saved it in a size that I could use. I hope this is a help for you!
1st map is without "Maxwell" the second one is with at least a night's stay in Maxwell. I hope to fill in a lot more soon...that's the reason we got the trailer! We'll be adding at least Idaho & Oregon (maybe Washington) this summer.

I've always wanted the states map but had no idea where to look. Thanks to 2air' for his direction to a new Bambi member that sent me to this thread. and to Grizzy (thank you!, another Bambi owner) for providing the link.
Visits with Bambi Gypsy only.
