UPS Man

Boy did I shock my Ups man today or at the most he thought I was crazy, I heard his truck pull up outside and I got so excited could it be my new Dewalt model 130 drill already shipped. I went to the door and it was I was so excited as I looked at the Ups man and told him I just love you for getting it here so quick he looked at me funny and I laughed and I explained to him it was my new drill to start polishing the Airstream, he laughed and stated this is a first for me I've never ever saw a women get so excited about a power tool and I stated just wait till you deliver the removeall 220 stripper. He turned and walked away on that one so I didn't bother to explain.

I bet he had a story to tell the other guys when his truck rolled in at the end of the day. Those guys must see it all.

That is hilarious! Not near as funny as your story, but my UPS man commented on how I acted like a little girl at Christmas when my vintage-style awning was delivered. All kinds of good things come in those big brown trucks.

Now you may get a succession of UPS drivers specifically requesting your route.

The stripper should be here Friday, I think when he gets here I'm going to tell him to hold on and I'll open the box so he can be the first to see

You had better be careful; The word "stripper" might give him the wrong idea. He will probably show up with his supervisor and two other witnesses.

UPS drivers CAN be cool!

Mine asked for a trailer tour a couple of years ago (so did the mail carrier). Now when he delivers boxes of stuff that rattle inappropriately, he says - "hope it's not for the Minuet - this box sounds like pieces - not parts"

My UPS driver is cool too. He brings biscuits for my dog when he delivers stuff here, I need to quit buying so much stuff on EBAY.

Yes my driver always knows if it is something for the Peppy if it has the little vintage trailer logo on the box and I seem to have alot of those. He alway's comments on the trailer or will ask me going camping this weekend.

Our UPS driver just laughs as he brings us boxes, and says, "Do you want me to just go ahead and set these next to the Airstream?"

Little story about a UPS man - several years ago, I worked in a home-based business that sold items to gift shops across the country, so every day the UPS man would come to pick up our shipments. Diane, the owner of the business had a dog who went nuts every time UPS came. Diane consulted with a doggy psychiatrist, who recommended that she get a UPS uniform for her husband to wear around the house, so the dog could get used to seeing someone in the uniform. So, one day Diane mentioned to Jim, the UPS man, that she was looking to get a UPS uniform for her husband to wear. The UPS man smiled, stood up a little straighter, and said, "Lady, you're not the first woman on my route who has decided she needs a UPS uniform for her husband!" Diane turned very red and went back into the house.

Brown says.....

Maybe I should get some brown shorts and shirts?

Actually, we've got an UPS woman that comes around.... I'm sure she wonders why that crazy man smiles and waves so hard when she passes our house!

You will have to find comparable clothing without being "official UPS" wear, as the company vigorously keeps their uniforms out of the public's hands. If you think about it, that uniform gives virtually unlimited access to many places the public can't go, just because of the uniform and brown truck. UPS actually has employees scanning Ebay for UPS clothing and grabs it and prosecutes the seller.

Our Dog went crazy too!

We used to have a dog that would start barking everytime the UPS truck came down our street and stopped at our house....she didn't bark at anyone else.....so we always knew when we were going to receive a UPS delivery.....she wasn't aggressive with the driver in any way....just announcing his arrival! pj

Stripper arrived

I saw him pull up to the house you know the big brown truck, I knew it was the removeall 220 stripper how was I going to handle it. So before he got to the door I opened it and blurted out (Oh great you brought the stripper) he looked at me soooo funny and I finished with oh yea we are having an Airstream party tonight and this is the stripper. He told me he was having a real bad day because he had just found out he may have to work 10 hours everyday for the next few weeks and I had made him laugh and forget about it. He did ask me what I was expecting in the next few day's.

Tell him you are expecting a very large box with a cake in it for the stripper...
