oooh, can't wait for THOSE photos, Tom ... everybody's mouth agape as you swing manfully out of the cab .... and then fall flat on your face because you miss a step & you're still 4 feet in the air ...

<Moderator hat on>
Folks, do you suppose that we, uh, might redirect this thread back to the subject before it gets any further out of hand, please? Thanks... <Moderator hat off>

Man, I'd have to think thrice about something like that, in light of the fact that Citgo at Exit 399 on I75 is advertising diesel at $3.799.

I suspect that if you can afford the purchase price and the total cost of ownership, that fuel prices are insignificant!

just because it is huge doesn't mean it is a fuel hog!

i think some of you might be suprized how well the international does on mpg, mine has a fuel mileage computer in it it runs between 19 and 10 mpg sometimes as low as 8.

getting a realistic picture of actual milage is hard because it runs the pto for 8 to 10 hours a day.

and thats for a truck that weighs 26400 lbs!

i'd bet that it does better than most motorhomes!

Fully loaded with cargo the commercial version will get between 6-8 MPG, most private users will not have theirs loaded that much. Normal driving you should see around 10 or so on the road. Our van gets that...

i'd say that is a very good guess on the mpg of a 466E connected to an allison 6 speed.
