Traveling US50

My wife and I are planning to attend the International Rally in Bozeman then spend several months traveling around the Northwest. We are planning to work our way down to Sacramento and pick up US50 for the trip back to Cincinnati in September. Looking for some off the beaten path recommendations for places to visit, campgrounds that others have enjoyed and things to do along the loneliest highway.

See Destinations for a lot of places in the Great Basin area and US 50 – Carson City to Ely for some information about US 50 in Nevada. The emphasis is on places where you are not likely to have water and sewer and probably not likely to have cell phone coverage either.
