I wonder of the replacement pedal is a non-CTS pedal. I believe the other pedal they have used on non-recalled models has not been cited in acceleration claims.

I'll have to follow through on the pedal some day soon unless someone discovers it first.
But, 2air, my condolences on Kansas' loss in the NCAA thing. But it may be Kansas State that is your favorite, but if they lose, future condolences. Since I may be one of 5 or 10 Americans who don't care about this NCAA thing, I may have this all wrong.

or the mojave' lawn dart professionals.
the curling teams drove yotas for awhile,
but had trouble with the STONES taking off suddenly and without brooming.
cheers

Hi,
Why yes it would, but only due to the fact that it is lighter. [mileage increased by .0000000217]

I just got a recall on my Nissan Titan's gas gauge. I guess I really haven't been getting 24mpg towing?

This is fantastic. I switched the gas pedals from my Tacoma to the Landcruiser and now the Cruiser gets 20 mpg, and the Tacoma has 50 more HP..

If you guys remember - Audi had a similar "nightmare" and they have recovered quite nicely....
Toyota's are great cars - for some reason (greed, they got caught, who knows) their going down a bumpy path - but I would never count them out of the race...

Here's their actual report, complete with a video of it happening.
Consumer Reports Cars Blog: Don't Buy: Safety Risk--2010 Lexus GX 460
(You don't need a membership to see this, no login required)
It DID NOT actually roll over in the test, nor are they aware of any reports of that happening, but as they point out, IT COULD easily do that, if the rear wheels hit a curb, say.
Hoo, boy! Just when they thought they were getting back on track... Jeez, I bet their sales are only up 25% now!!

Another example of a generation that relies on antilock brakes, cruise control, traction control and anti skid to drive. One of these does not function properly and the vehicle can not be driven. Give me a break! I am not saying that this is not a problem and it should be fixed, but to take a vehicle off the road for this problem is weird. This problem makes this vehicle drive like any other without this device, . Another way to look at it isif this device is necessary for the car to be safely driven, then we must look at the design of the vehicle and the skill of the driver. Most drivers today could not drive an older vehicle without abs, antiskid and so on. Some can not drive if the sound system quits. I amk not saying that these devices are not good as far as safety goes but the skill of the driver decreases as each of thes devices, let's say, bails us out of a bad situation sometimes caused by driver error, in a sense rewarding us for bad driving and making poor decisions. zz
