Too flippin' cute ...

... are there any birders here? is an aluminum birdhouse safe for birds on a hot day? i kind of want to kill 2 birds with one stone here (is that the phrase?) & knock out my christmas list. i'd have the sense to hang it in a shady space, but would everyone?

Maybe I am just silly, but I always assumed that one would hang a birdhouse in a tree- therefore in the shade. But I'm not one to question the intelligence of the folks on your christmas list!

well, some species need birdhouses oriented in a particular direction, so they might be hung on the side of a garage. or think about the bluebird houses that you see high on posts in full sun.

Well, I do know that bluebird houses must be made of wood, so that leaves them out for an aluminum one. Maybe you could give specific instructions with your gifts. I was looking at an AS doghouse online, and it stated in bold print not to be used outside, it could fry the puppy-dog. So on second thought, maybe those nifty houses are for decorative purposes only!

Very cute!

I have seen this item several times. It looks like the guy sell one every other week or so. They normally go for around $100.
