This Sicko Couldn't Resist......

....."More ice for your drink, sir?"

All this hoopla over the 100th annniversary of the Titanic sinking - this is my way of marking the occasion: An ice-cube tray that pops out Titanic-shaped cubes with the accompanying bergs.

Here are two drinks for your Titanic cocktails, both would have been available at least in new york at the time... though since Absinthe was outlawed in 1912.... so the good ones you cant. lol

The Great Admiral cocktail:
in a Mixing Tumbler;
the juice of a peeled orange,
4 dashes of gum
2/3 glass of fine ice
2 dashes of curacao
1 drink of brandy
1/2 drink of Jamaica rum,
2 dashes of creme de cocoa
1 dash of anisette,
1 dash of creme de roses.
Mix this very well; strain into fancy glasses and serve

The Promenade:
An egg in teh bottom of the glass, and the glass two thirds full of fine ice.
A barspoonful of fine sugar,
2/3 pony of brandy,
1/3 pony of creme de cocoa,
1/2 pony of port wine,
2 ponies of cream,
Shake this very well and strain into a fancy glass.

Even Better.....

Russian Iceberg:

Ingredients:

Fill with Ice Cubes
1 oz White Creme de Menthe
1 oz Rumple Minze
1 oz Vodka
Mixing instructions:

Fill tumbler with ice. Lean to 45 degree angle and pour creme de menthe down the side of the glass to fill bottom. Repeat pour with Rumple Minze and Vodka. Do not stir. The intent is to make layers with the liquors (so that it looks like an iceberg.) Stick a straw in the middle of the drink and drink the whole drink at once through the straw.

Creator/contributor's comments:

This will taste like a shot of scope, but the effects of one drink will make you wish it was just scope. For added effect, make all liquids 1.5oz. This drink was given to me by some Texas Tech frat guys who were working as bartenders at an Outback Steakhouse.

You know, you could always get the DVD, and play it backwards to have a happy ending...

Never waste your money on stuff like this. Life really is too short. As a bartender in the long ago it was this sort of refinery waste that was easy to sell and ensured a fine profit. But not for folks you'd normally want around for conversation.
