Thinking of you in Tornado alley

Stay safe everyone in the midwest and southwest! Find shelter, arrive alive!

My heart goes out to all those affected when I see all the devastation, and I worry about all the little kids in the schools and the folks in hospitals. The most we ever get here is the VERY rare F1 and a few barn explosions due to what they call 'microbursts'.
Lets hope there are no more fatalities!

I have been thinking about all the folks there, also. It looks like Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee may be in for some wild weather.

When the AM news reported the devastation, my first thought was for those who lost so much- second thought was hoping that our Airstreamers in that area fared well- thoughts and prayers headed your way

The storms are getting close to Huntsville, AL. I will let you know if we are still here in a couple of hours.

Logged in and there on my browser were pictures of a big fiver on it's side and thoroughly ruined - headline was that a mobile home park had been hit.

Our worst nightmare - SOB or Airstream, no one wants to see that kind of damage. I've only been close to 3 in my whole life but they can hit anywhere. Save your LIFE and let the RV go.

We are camped about 3 miles from the one that just missed Little Rock. We met some nice folks while hunkerin' down in the restroom! It went right thru a RV store on the side of I40, from the photos, there is nothing left.

Its going to be a long night. There is a string of several storms so if one does not get us the next one will. Cross your fingers.

Thoughts and prayers to those areas hit by these devastating storms. Be safe out there.

A recommendation that is well worth the investment is a weather radio. When we upgraded our AM/FM/CD player we made sure we purchased a radio that had a weather band. The Pyle radio we purchased included seven (7) NOAA channels. There may be a bunch of brands out there, marine radios are what to look for. We went with the Pyle radio due to the real great price. This has been a life saver on top of the portable ones that you can purchase.

Pyle - PLCD36MRWÂ*-Â*Marine Audio & VideoÂ*-Â*CD / MP3 Receivers

Good to hear you are both OK. The devastation I am seeing on the news is beyond belief.
