I'm here in New Hampshire, too, and we're getting walloped with a major snowstorm today <sigh> Thanks for the reminder that spring IS coming, even if it doesn't feel like it!

Looks like this is turning into a NH thread!

Just got an email from my sister from Oregon, the forcast there is 69 and sunny; Why oh why did I ever move out here?
Oh ya, I fell in love with a guy from NH and married him 22 years ago today.... Little did I know that many of our anniversaries would be celebrated during snow storms.....

70 degrees here right now and I'm working on replacing rear hatch gas struts on wife's Astro. Through now and will begin tilling up garden in preparation for planting onion sets. Another couple of weeks and it will be time to plant peas, spinach, lettuce, etc. Funny, it was 30 degrees middle of the week, snowing, sleeting or raining. Just love that TN. weather!

Post Garden

Well, sounds like you are going to eat well this spring.

Hate to inform all the lucky people in the snow, but it is 93 here in Palm Springs, birds singing, flowerr blooming and the swimming pools are full.

Each part of the country has its' own special time of the year. The people in the north just have a longer Winter than the ones down here.

Hi Sue,
Garden has been tilled the second time and now I'm headed to the store for onion plants or sets. It is supposed to rain tomorrow so I'd better get going.

My wife came home from running errands and found me sitting in the Airstream, with all the windows open, a scotch and water in my hand and me smiling, enjoying 70 degrees and breezy..... thinking about what is to come.....Spring .........ahh the thought alone makes me a little crazy!

Garden

Hey I go for that drink in hand and sitting and thinking about Spring and the GA Rally.

Craig, will the onions be ready to pull? If so bring some with you to the Rally. Maybe Kathy can use them in her many meals she fixes.

Life is great when you have an Airstream and friends such as these on this forum.

These crocus and daffodils are my first clue that spring is here (and the return of the robins a couple of weeks ago...)

As I sip on a rum and coke and ponder your question Sue, yes, they might be ready to pick in time for the rally. They smelled especially sweet as I was driving home so I guess that is why they call them Texas Sweet. I didn't plant as many as I usually do each year. I plant 3 wide 2" apart in a row about 32 feet long. This year I only planted the raised bed with them 3" apart in a single row.

Yep, there are some fine folks on the board. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again as well as meeting some newcomers to our April rally.

Ahh. Spring is here. Only 1 inch of fresh fluffy. Opened the old girl up for the first time since Nov. No leaks. Plugged in the heater, came back in a few hours to a toasty 55 degrees and started working on replacing the table and bolster for the front gaucho. The only flowers out right now are in the nursery but it won't be long now.
Tom.

We suffered 81 degrees today, with gusty wind, but clear skies.. Kind of nice weather, as we left Indiana to 26 degrees, and snow..

New Mexico is doing well, and we are enjoying the warmth.
