Antique Tanning Bed

During our trip west, brother Mel came down with some hives. Our Mom told him to sun himself, and sure enough, he got over it! Bake City Utah.

You are very welcome Aviator! And I hear ayah!
In 1952, out of doors sunscreen was usually delivered by a passing thunder shower, although there was never any guaranty that anyone couldn't get fried by the lightening!..

Hi, Terry. Are you sure your Dad was doing some custom tweaks to the Magic Carpet? On my last trip, I was under my kitchen cabinet re-tightening loose drain pipes. Also I had to re-tighten my closet door hinges. Looks like your Dad was doing what I just had to do.

Smile Hi Robert!

No, I'm sure that my Dad had and did further customize the Magic Carpet, ( right out of the crate ) when it was delivered to us from the factory in Stoneham Ma. there in 1951 to facilitate more comfort and over the road safety for the eleven of us at the time!.. The above photo was taken before we left on our journey to California, and also when the Magic Carpet was brand new.

I would however agree with you that my Dad probably found some minor tweaks during the pree trip inspection that needed his attention as well...

I also think that one of the many reasons our Mom loved our Dad so much was that, he was never afraid to clean up after himself!

Thumbs down Ban Children From A Restaurant??

The following could be a little hard to stomach / and or swallow!

With todays economy, I couldn't imagine any self respecting family restaurant wanting to ban children under a certain age... However, some are...

I would hazard a guess that todays Moms and Dads have lost some of the ( use of the brail system, if you will ), to communicate good behavior to their siblings...

Now!.. / Waaayyyyy back when I was young, and born even younger, my parents taught me and the rest of us children just how to behave, wise? Course, it could have been the size of the herd?.. They never wanted us to get out of hand, ( so to speak ). ( And Especially Around The Dinner Table )...
Here's a pic of all of us enjoying lunch at the very exclusive Columbia Yacht Club back in 19 and 52! They loved us, and could have retired from our bill and tips alone!

Sides, have you ever tried eating lunch with a fat lip?
Only kidding, Love Terry
