Most lefties can use their right hands pretty well because we have to learn to use them in a rightie world. Right handed people have useless appendages on the left side.
Half of the presidents since Harry Truman have been left handed and three of the last four. Soon we will wield absolute power, but with kindness. All righties will be required to become lefties. You will learn to enjoy it as you will not have to awkwardly switch the knife and fork back and forth when you eat.
Pardon me while I explain to my wife she has to become a leftie. I'm sure she will be overjoyed.

We are all born right handed, the gifted overcome it though.

I'm sure that as I'm driving down the road trying to adjust my GPS as I eat a sandwich while steering with my knees, that "useless appendage" must be doing something. Waving at you as you approach in your AS, maybe?

Dunno... I like to look at it from this perspective - R, N & D as with your automatic transmission.

Hi, are you sure about that? My left hand holds things steady while my right hand smacks the crap out of them. I wouldn't call that useless. [example. hammer and chisel]

Left hand holds bottle, while Right hand removes cap. Right hand drops ice in glass while Left hand pours the beverage. Right hand picks up glass and delivers the thirst quenching drink, while the Left hand tips the hat to the Airstream rolling into the park. It is a team sport. Let the smiles begin! Pat

Inevitably, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Hi, so true and that's why, sometimes, my hammer misses the chisel and hits my left hand.

Hi, Oregon is turning me into a nice person; If I was still in Southern California the fight would be on.

They don't make them, because true natural born lefties are too smart to use them.
Mind you, just as in national politics, "natural born" is very important, but no one knows what it means.

Re: hand writing by lefties.
Lefties see where they're going while writing, but righties see where they've been.
Go ahead argue.

Hi, left handed or right handed makes no difference in hand writing because young people don't know how to do it now days. And they use both thumbs while texting.

And on a real keyboard they use all of their fingers. So what? Doesn't make them ambidextrous. To prove it, just switch their mouse to the opposite side of the keyboard and suddenly they're flummoxed.

Mouse? Keyboard? Oh, how 90s can you get. Touch screen! It's the teens now! And some day we'll finally just talk to Hal. Pat

I thought we were arguing righty versus lefty. Touch screens have no handedness at all, requiring nothing more than an index finger of either hand.
Or are we now arguing touchscreen versus keyboard? (He types on his laptop computer's keyboard while his touchscreen tablet is downloading app updates on another corner of the desk and the touchscreen smartphone is recharging…)
Besides, the sixties were my formative years. Remember those days? Just managing nineties tech is still in the realm of "old dog, new tricks" for me! I'll catch up to the teens by about the thirties, if I live that long…

Touch screens and smart ass tablets that change your words because they think they know better than you what it is you want to write. Time to get out the tin foil hats.
