I'm more inclined to think that quite often, the best therapist is no therapist.
The best advice I ever received was also quite succinct: "You're screwed. Get over it." Won't EVER find a therapist that will give it to you flat-out like that!

I think you need a therapist. You have pent up hostilities toward therapy.

You're not a therapist trying to drum up business, are you?
Anyway, I don't have any pent-up hostility; my hostilities are all in the open for the whole world to see. Keeping hostility pent-up is bad for my blood pressure, so I vent my frustrations and get it out of my system early and often.

I would like to continue this discussion, but I'll be late for my therapy. My therapy is riding about 20 miles on my bicycle. (Some people say that I pedal my ass all around town). It is a nice not too hot day. However people in the states up wind from us are burning their wild lands, so its pretty hazy.

If you want someone to say "you're screwed, get over it", see a lawyer.

While we're talking about standards, what's up with the stupid metric time system that Europe (and Colorado, for that matter) uses? Seems like they're going to an awful lot of trouble just to add or subtract hours from the correct Eastern STANDARD Time.

Not really. A lawyer would say, "You're screwed. Pay me."
By the way, that whole, "You're screwed. Get over it," was real advice from a real friend after a particularly troubling event in my life. It was good advice at the time, and kept me from self-destructing.
Apologies for injecting seriousness in what's meant to be a tongue-in-cheek free-flow discussion. And now, back to our regularly scheduled irreverence…
I've come to the conclusion that lawyers have the ultimate protection racket. The only reason most people ever need a lawyer to to protect themselves from the other guy's lawyer.

And to protect themselves from insane laws made by the legislature (made up of mostly lawyers). Sal.

About 10 years after dad passed mom was going to date a game warden. I was forced to put on the gorilla suit. Sal.

How to train a dog

Dog would probably be easier and you can rub their nose in it and wake them for it The other twin Linnea has no problems.

When the dog goes on the rug just stick his nose in it and throw him out. After 2 weeks when he goes on the rug he will stick his own nose in it and jump out of the house. Sal.

I do it for free. Today I went through Niwot and into northeastern Boulder. My GPS says 24.88 miles round trip.

I would rather pedal a bicycle, but wouldn't want to go to Niwot. You can't see the West Elks from there, but there are more lawyers in Boulder per capita than just about anywhere on the planet.

In 1964, I was in La Spezia, Pisa, Livorno, and Naples
In 2004, I was in Rome, Assisi and Ostia Antica.
Looking at those dates, I guess I'm not due to go back until 2044. I will have to celebrate my 101st birthday there. Maybe in San Marino.
