At Junior High 135 in the Bronx I was assigned a permanent seat at "The Bad Table". Now you know the rest of the story!

I love NY. The schools have numbers not names. Spent 4 years in the Bronx while my wife went to Einstein by Morris park and east Chester

Hi, schools without names? That's stupid. Numbers are for prisoners.

That wouldn't work. Getting busted by a moderator is just embarassing.

Feeling good about being good.....
I never felt like I was very, very bad, but very good in a bad way. i'm surprised all of the political comments that are being left here. The quality of a good argument is dependent on not being defensive and knowing how and when to be conciliatory. Criticism never works in a good respectful confrontation.
Some people criticize with little knowledge, no honor and only hostility and fear.

Forum rules... as I see it

There are no ground rules except that forum rules must be followed...

This 2 and a half year thread, for the most part, has been a humorous, lighthearted, tongue-in-cheek, enjoyable and fun read... even the infamous 2air' commented on it!
Even Moderator CanoeStream was supportive by saying in his post #93, "If ever a thread needed less moderating, this is it."
But when the thread turned to politics, as it did with post #150, it understandably got a reminder from Moderator Stefrobrts in post #151 that politics are off-limits.
More recently, in this presidential election year, this thread has turned into serious political commentary, starting with page 23, and understandably eliciting a response, post #327, from Moderator Kevin245, and a reminder of "the rules".
I'm just a bystander and an interested follower of this thread, but I think that whenever forum rules are evoked, a link should be provided that facilitates the reader to immediately and quickly view "the rules".
For clarity, here are the Air Forums Community Rules...
and for further clarity, a message for our AirForums founder, Andy R:
" A message from your hosts..."
Now let's get on with the important arguments... and have fun!

Doug was one of the bad boys in high school, too, and talks about how the night cop in Washington, Iowa, helped raise him (his dad died suddenly when he was 4). In retrospect, he seems to have been far wiser than his years, and intolerant of some of the hypocrisy around him. Thus, he acted out---and the cycle began. He left for college and changed his course.
Believing that we are what we experience and how we respond to those experiences, i believe ya do what you can at the time and with what you have to work with. You do better when you have better tools, however you acquire those.

This thread has taken on a logical approach to analyzing the argument process I find most disgusting. I am now making flatuent noises with my lips.

Oh, stop!!
It's a great place for you boys to have some fun---as long as you don't draw the negative attention of the mods.
I'm leaving now, please resume.
