This is an excellent opportunity for vicarious ranting by projection of being pissed off at your spouse or Aistream in a safe manner without the undesirable consequences. Unless, of course, you get off on it.

That's the Army for you. When I was in the Navy we were taught to regard the entire Army, officers and enlisted alike, with that type of distain. However we were always respectful of Marines, If you got the Marines mad, the sailors on ships would have no one to dance with.

This is the flip side of what has always annoyed me. I have the federal employees health care program and have always been happy with it. My copays are reasonable and service is borderline acceptable. However, to me, the difference between what my insurance company pays the provider and what some poor SOB who has no insurance is expected to pay is close to criminal.

I hope you got your pills at the local pharmacy.

Didn't left handed Ken start this thread? And Pro, a confessed lefty, posts frequently.

Maybe it is true we are sinister.

But, so far as Part D, the insurance plans have been getting worse and worse fast and I keep changing insurers almost every year. More deductibles, higher premiums, higher copays and Pharma charges more and more for the drugs. The only reason for it seems to be if you need cancer meds some day and can't afford a gazillion dollars per pill. Rants feel so good.

At one point in time there was a "that is a left handed way of doing it" comment in my regular approach to discussions. Some where along the way I noticed my boss was left handed, a left handed guy had some good ideas, my best engineer was left handed, and .... well you get the idea. Have great respect for the left handed world. Except those left handed nuts. Fought with one on my trimmer a few days ago. Pat

I learned, very early in my growing up, that this is a right handed world. I am firmly convinced that the constant adaptation to right handed things and ways, while maturing, makes left hand people on the average better at analyzing and solving problems. I think it is that extra use of the brain early in life, that makes us superior to righties, rather than actually being born smarter.

All of us lefties seem to be in agreement.

Isn't it odd that in a regular thread no one ever reaches a consensus, but here on the Argue Thread it has already happened more than once? Maybe ALL threads should be Argue Threads!

You have to be left handed to understand it!

Ken

Keep in mind it is left handed people who are in (use) their right (correct) mind.

Where as right handed people use the left (out) side of their mind.

Hi, and during the National Anthem, you put your left hand over your heart, RIGHT. And when being sworn-in in court you raise your .......hand.

In our nature to cling to anti establishment, we face the enigma of arguing being an established criteria, therefore we strive for the opposite tact of consensus.

Our status qua has been inverted....

We are disarmed by a seemingly innocent and innocuous thread that was started on the pretense of humor, but actually it is a conspiracy of the worst kind.

This thread was meant to suppress the right brain, but I am not going to fall for it, OK.

I have your number.

Yes, yes. And you salute superior officers using your right hand, and shake hands with strangers using your right hand— while concealing a weapon in your left hand. Which is one reason why the Latin word for left, sinister, has become synonymous with evil. And why the Latin word for right, Dexter, has become an unpopular boy's name.

One can argue in the sense of civil discourse used to solve a mystery or a problem--like lawyers argue their case in court.

Or, you can argue in anger and end up in a bar fight.

Point is that this Argue Thread may well have some positive outcomes. Not all arguments are bad.

Or a food fight. Wouldn't you just love to see this as a political forum?
