Perhaps you didn't realize we had moved on to homophones. The use of mute point was surely intended.

I suspect he realized, but was just being argumentative, which would normally make me angry, except this thread is meant for that purpose. So the point is mute.

I have to head to the ATM machine and get some cash money now.

Indeed I did not realize the shift to homophones. Or homonyms. Which are synonyms. Having been an engineer, with an engineer's mindset and thought processes, I tend to be too literal most of the time, and too sarcastic the rest of the time, depending on exactly how caffeinated I happen to be at the time.

Always assuming, for the sake of argument, that the shift to homophones wasn't retroactive to cover up a gaffe.

As they used to say in Government, "Our goal is a paperless office. Make two copies and discard the original."

Hi, banks and others ask if you want to go paperless; Then they send you 15 pages of advertising for something that you don't want. [paperless???????]

False. It's obviously apparent that not all travel is via trailer and not all trailers travel.

Disagree. "Travel trailer" as the name of a specific type of trailer is a tautology; as they are self-contained towable RVs that are both trailers and specifically designed to be used for traveling.

The mere facts that some travel trailers become lawn ornaments, and some travelers use motorhomes instead, does not invalidate the tautology inherent in the name. A tautology only has to be redundant; it does not have to be exclusively true without exception.

And since we are discussing tautologies, "exclusively true without exception" is one, too. Do I get extra points for that one?

I thought I would get extra points for "obviously apparent" - dang!
