Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.

Hope sharing the turkey with family is the greatest, ever.

And a very special Thanksgiving wish to those who have as well as still are, in service for our country, so that the rest of us Americans can enjoy to the fullest.

Anyone up for a winter camping trip to Arkansas might want check out DeGray Lake Resort State Park near Bismarck, AR. I won't be there this year since I'm not taking any more time off until I retire (44 calendar days to go, but who's counting) but last time I went, they had an incredible Thanksgiving buffet (over 300 entrees, sides, and desserts to choose from!) at the lodge, that was well worth the price of admission. Thanksgiving week is the last week the park is open for the year, and the campground is usually all but empty this time of year, no problem at all getting a site whether you have reservations or not.

My trips to Hawaii depend on how loud they are calling.

When they just call, yeah, thank you for calling.

When they call and I have to wear ear plugs, they get my attention, sort of.

When they call and I have to use ear muffs, I get to thinking.

When they call and I have to use ear plugs and ear muffs, I make reservations.

So, I'm going in February and May.

The special days for them, is everyday, but most importantly, Memorial day, veterans day, Thanksgiving day, Pearl Harbor day December 7th, and Christmas.

Giving to those that are giving and who have given, is always heart warming.

Seeing in person "Punch Bowl Crater", the Arizona Memorial and many other memorials, is always tearful and thankful being an American.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends. We do Thanksgiving in early October up in the Great White North because by now the harvest is long done and we have naught but ice and snow to be thankful for by late November.
