Thanks to Andy at Inland RV

Today I received a package in the mail.

When I opened it, it contained a US Flag that was flown on Dec 7 2008 at 1841 (The 66th Anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks). It came with a certificate bearing the official seal of the decommissioned ship. Also included in the package was a mint proof coin of the memorial.

Andy did this in appreciation of Amy and I for our military service.

Once I get my camera charged I plan to get some pictures of everything.

Thanks again Andy for your generosity.

Your very welcome Steve and Amy.

But, the flag flew on December 7th, 2007.

The memorial is leaking fuel, at this point, big time.

I will post a photo of that oil leak, next week.

Andy

Andy; thank you for your service to our great country.

Question: Jim, what is Bravo Zulu? I am aformer Marine and I am not familiar with this term. Is it about the same as OUTSTANDING?

It is a Naval term meaning well done. Do not confuse with the more common Bravo Sierra.

It seems I also meant Baker Zebra.

"The Navy adopted this ICAO alphabet in March 1956. It was then that "Baker Zebra" finally became "Bravo Zulu".

I was home ported in Pearl Harbor from 69 to 73 and the Arizona was leaking a fair amount at that time, I am sure it has increased in magnitude.
