Thank god for my man cave

Got op this AM at 5. By 8AM DW was up. By 8:15 daughter was over with 3 grandaughters. I am outnumbered. But I keep a ceramic heater on in the AS so I can regain my sanity for a little while. [what little I have left.] Sal.

True Grit

What works for me.
I like whole grain cereals that are gritty and require chewing to get down. I like to make pancakes the same way. When I (we) get company in the morning, I always set about making pancakes right away.
Very few women, and no kids, like my cooking, so, needless to say, I now have few visitors in the morning. It is great to have peace and quiet in the mornings while waiting for the day to warm up.

Reminds me of bran muffins my wife loves to make, great for keeping us regular, warned grandson not to eat more than one at a sitting, took a half dozen home, the muffins were finished that evening, missed school next day, didn't dare get to far from the pot. Should have signed him up for a colonoscopy. ;-)

I call my AS my library. When the tv gets too loud or the grand kids get in the way, I head to the camper. No TV, no radio, just me, the dogs, a book and maybe even a cold beverage. If I never took it out of the back yard, it would still be worth the money.

We have two young daughters and I am currently pregnant. The husband says if it's another girl, he's moving into the AS! LOL

I have three girls 8 5 and 2. I have two airstreams, and believe me something ALWAYS needs to be done on them, especially when things get really dramatic around the house.

irony

I have to smile at the irony as I read this thread....from the comfort of my Bambi....while in my driveway.....away from my wife and daughters.

(Now to see if there is a muffin kicking around in here. Nope, but wait, ah yes, here it is.....Crown Royal!)

They won't even let you have the garage? The basement?

For me it is one room in the basement for computers, reloading, and exercise, the garage for woodworking and repairs, and the Minuet for peace and quiet with a good book and an adult beverage.

What a learning experience , I'm recieving from my airstreamers.
How to abandon ship , (so to speak)
I also go to my aluminum refuge . Turning on the stereo, and immedietely falling to sleep. Who needs to travel!!!!! LOL.

wow

I agree-lots to learn and laugh about!!

When I have my future AS, I am sure it will become my refuge, escape and symbol of freedom. Living in an unfinished basement of an unfinished house for over 5 years, is turning me into a lunatic. So my relatively tiny house on wheels will be cherished-problems and all.
