Hi, lesson learned, I hope. Diagnois first, then buy or repair what went bad. As a shop foreman, I still had to teach the younger mechanics to check the basics first; And diagnois, diagnois, diagnois, NO GUESSING!
But I'm still subject to make mistakes. Did I tell you about the time I found this really neat smoke alarm for my trailer? [previous post] A co-worker and I found this really neat smoke alarm with a HUSH button; So we both bought one for our RV's. Months later when I was able to get to the inside of my trailer I had planned on replaceing my original smoke alarm with this really neat one with the HUSH button on it. Guess what? It was the exact same thing my trailer already had from the factory. Now I have a spare.
