Storm - MN Airstreaqm Park

The park was hit by a major storm overnite. Main road partially blocked by a downed tree and several roads are completely blocked and one of the blocked roads also has major flooding from a water main break. Entire park is littered with downed limbs and at least 2 trailers that I've seen have limb damage. Also a shed was partially crushed by a tree. Understand the Tornado Sirens went off sometime during the nite but I slept thru that. A major cleanup will be needed. And the forecast is for possibly more of the same thru Sunday. But the mosquito's are out in force this morning so they made it thru fine. Not a fun night!

Not that much better here in Minnetonka. Power has been out for 3 hours and my basement is filling up with water. No hail or trees down.

A bit more walking. C Loop is blocked by large limbs and a tree came down in D Loop and partially hit a trailer so that makes at least 3 that have some damage. The power was off here for an hour or so around 3:30AM but OK now. We had hail but don't see any damage caused by that - at least to my trailer - but it sure did sound loud hitting the roof.

Bad news for all in that area. Good to hear that you came thru it ok.
Warped question: Who's insurance is responsible for the damage to the trailers in a situation like this?

We all have personal insurance on our trailers, etc. The Park has insurance on the buildings, pool, liability, etc. A few years ago we had a huge hailstorm and the insurance adjusters (those who covered the Airstream owner) were in the Park for several days.

It was a very scary night but everyone is out today cleaning up and glad to help each other.

Our Open House will be starts next weekend & we will be ready for visitors!

Nothing like bad times to bring neighbors together. It certainly has been a tough year for inland storms. I am keeping my fingers crossed, my Airstream stocked and ready to go for hurricane season.
