Steam Trains and Old Cars

I know this is not Airstream related but these are gorgeous pictures of a time when Trains and Cars and Airstreams were evolving. And they are just great pictures to look at. I do not know who to credit for these pictures.

I hope you enjoy them.

Wow!!!

safari57,

All of us gear heads out here enjoy these photos!!!! I am old enough to have witnessed many of the old steam engines in operation back in the late forties. At the time I was too young to take pictures of my own, however, I was very inspired by some of Life Magazine's photographers at a very young age to take up the hobby.

Keep'em coming!!!!

As a long time steam train buff, I'd say there not from the camera of O. Winston Link. I think he mostly photographed the Norfolk and Western, some of these pics look very "out west" to me.

Wonder what the guys walking along the ditch are looking for?

I think it is a road crew - and look closely at the guy up near the tracks and what he is carrying.

They sure are focused downwards and they had contact lenses back then..........must be looking for the conductors pocket watch.....

Add Old Trailer to the title too

A friend sent this to me...knowing that I search for the "long lost"....whatever it is.

Great pictures Ranch. Sad to see how some neat trailers end up. There are a couple there that I could see myself going to find and dragging home. Mind you, if Donna found out where I was going and what I intended to do she'd probably lock me up, permanently.
