We are in the perfect location, Reno, Nevada, to see this great event, however, it is cloudy and snowing this evening.
We are members of the Astronomical Society of Nevada, and are avid amateur astronomers. We had plans to drive up north on Hwy 80 near Winnemucca, Nevada, this evening, just about a 2 hour drive. Unfortunatelly, the snow and cloudy skies have kept 'Buttercup' in our driveway and the two of us in our home. We have some fellow astronomy club members in Winnemucca and in Elko. Not sure what the skies are like there, but hopefully we'll get some good reports back from them.
If anyone else gets the chance to see this it would be great to post some pictures or tell some accounts!
