Source for good airstream jewelry

Is there a source for good Airstream jewelry? About all I have managed to find are some inexepensive silver charms. I'm really looking for one-of-a-kind, antiquey things: pins, brooches, bracelets, etc.

Anybody ever see anything like that?

One of the moderators is threatening to delete this thread! Ok, it's my husband. I think it's a great question.

I've been looking for years and haven't found anything I would call nice. If you could get a good jewelry designer to design something new, you might find a small market already out there.

edie you are so right. there is a market just waiting.
other than the "bambi" earrings and the silver charms I haven't seen anything at all.
one of the older wbcci ladies in our park had the coolest sweater that she had found years ago at one of the international flea markets. it had airstreams knit into the pattern around the yoke. it was lovely. but she said that the person that had the knitting machine no longer was attending the rallies.
at least airstream is catching on about tee shirts and hats etc. maybe they will bring jewelry into their on line store too.

If you remember who has the sweater, ask her if she remembers who made the sweater. If the woman who made the sweater can be contacted, you can ask for a copy of the pattern. With the pattern in hand you could easily find someone to make a sweater for you for a fee.

You might even have a few extra made and set up your own table at the larger rallies like International, Region, and even Florida State.

Lightbulb I just had a flash..

Last night while reading thru the 2004 WBCCI members book, I came upon Helen's (WBCCI #2) listing under names and address
Now here's a gal whose been connected with the company since the very start~!~(Wally's widow..If the listing is correct)
I hesitate to suggest this, considering her age, etc but, you
might inquire of her, thru a very short letter, if she has any knowledge of jewelry made for A/S...

Just a thought..

ciao

The gal who created this necklace might be a good candidate. She uses a 1967 Airstream as her design studio.

wow! congratulations! i found your site a while ago, and really like your stylistic approach. is each piece made by hand? i'm particularly drawn to the keychain... maybe cause i've ended up with 3 trailers... somehow...

seriously, though. it's nice to see a developing market for higher end airstream themed pieces. good show!

Custom jewelry

I am a custom retail jeweler, in the business for over 30 years. I can make anything you want within reason in 14k, 18K or platinum. I CAN do silver, but custom silver pieces get almost as expensive as gold.
I can offer reliefs of your favorite image including people, TV's or locations, or I can do just the trailer. Gemstones are available for enhancement also.
This would be pretty tight to get anything done for this Christmas, but I could certainly try.
I am not cheap as each piece is custom made, but my clients seem to think my work is worth the price. (I'm not outrageous, just not in the price range of off the shelf production pieces.)
I don't have any samples as each piece I do is for a client, but if you are interested, we could work something out so you could see my work and I guarantee satisfaction.

Laser welding is also a service that I provide, so if you happen to have a part that is VERY small that needs welding, I am your man. Steel, aluninum and pot metal parts can be laser welded in most cases.

Feel free to contact me at 218 326 5206.

By the way, this isn'[t an advertisement, I am responding to a request. Just so that is clear. I don't want anybody mad at me.

JB

I have lost count of the pieces I have bought my wife -- all from Kristiana. My wife loves them. Very nice pieces and she gets many compliments. Just my opinion. For you guys...I like the jewelry also. Nice quality and, in my view, affordable.

Thumbs up thank you!

Scott,

Thanks for being a supportive (repeat) customer and thanks to your wife for being a wonderful model for my jewelry! I'm glad she's enjoying her gifts from you .

Next up: Rings! I have some Silver Trailer rings coming out for the new year (soon to be added to my website).

I'd love to hear any requests for other pieces anyone may be interested in as well.

I've been busy taking courses in Fabric Design (think curtains, tablecloths & upholstery) as well as working on designs for tableware (s & p , flatware, etc). Stay tuned...

If anyone is in the San Francsico Bay Area next month (Dec. 5, 2008)
I'll have my 1967 Tradewind and jewelry at a holiday show on Hayes Street. Come on by and say hello.

Thanks so much for your interest and support!

Greetings Kristiana! Hmm... another excuse to visit Hayes Street! It would be a blast to fly out. The last time we were there I spent a ton on silver. Dec. 5th? Sara's B-Day is the day after that would be a fun birthday present for a 15 year old. Sandi wears her necklace all the time as you know. Maybe you need to design a small version for the guys!
See ya soon...... Rick

Hey Rick!

Yes, another excuse to visit Hayes Street! San Francisco weather is beautiful in December. Happy birthday to Sara & hi to Sandi!

Okay, to design a piece for the gentlemen, that is my next mission...
