Something new delivered, Mother lost

UPS delivered new Greenball aluminum wheels and brake assemblies Monday after I left the house for the airport. My mother had taken a turn for the worse and my sister felt I needed to come as quickly as I could. Fifteen minutes after I left the house, the call came in at 3:03 p.m. that my mother had passed away. I arrived in TX. after 10 p.m. that night and my family decided to drive from TN. leaving the next morning. They drove straight through and arrived Wed. morning around 3:00 a.m. Funeral is tomorrow and somehow those brakes, wheels and tires (already at the shop) don't seem to be a priority anymore.

I am sorry for your loss. I too one day will have to face the loss of one of my parents.

Craig, you have our sympathies and thoughts for your loss. No matter how long a loved one lives, it is never long enough.
And those parts will sit there patiently waiting until you're ready for them.

Rivet Sorry for your loss

Both my parents have been gone for several years. I still miss them every day, but I was lucky to have even known them.

My thoughts are with you.

Lost my mom Christmas day. I did get to keep both my parents around well into their 80's, but they still left too soon. One died on Halloween, the other on Christmas. I know your pain at this time and you are in our prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. May the great memories always be with you.

My mother passed away on Christmas Eve in 1963 (I was 14), and I still think of her nearly every day.

Gosh, I don't know what I would have done if I lost my mother when I was 14! I'm 57 now and my mother would have been 96 in December '08. She has lived a long life and is in a better place now. My sister and I were her only children but those who grew up with us always had kind things to say about her. Thanks for all the nice comments. I think all of you would have liked her because she was a traveler, just not in travel trailers. In her 70's and 80's she visited Moscow, Norway, Finland, Greece, Italy and so many other countries. Like an idiot, I passed on all these trips thinking I wanted to see so much more of the U.S. before going abroad. What a mistake that was.

So sorry

So sorry about your loss, both my parents have been gone for years but I still miss not being able to call my mom just to say hi. We still have one mom, Jim's, she is 87 and I know her turn will come before long as her health is not good. We will be in your place before we know it, and your pain is ours. Blessed be.

Your mother sounds like a great lady, I know you agree.
I lost my mom in '01 and can understand what you feel to some degree, although everyone feels and deals with loss and grief differently.
Don't beat yourself up for not travelling with her. You make decisions based on the info you have at that time, and the circumstance you're in. We can all have regrets for one reason or another, but they are non-productive thoughts.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Remember the good times, and the relationship you shared.
Dave
