Some days you eat the bear...
Came home from work yesterday and found out this mess. Missed my project by 10 feet. one of those times when you say a little prayer, and thank Him that there were no kids back there. That the dog was not laying in her favorite spot, an thank you for missing my trailer!

Fellas, when I say that I said a prayer - I wasn't kidding. My old dog used to lay under that tree when she was outside and my daughter plays in that area when I work on the trailer. I have a tree guy coming to cut it up today,
Dave

If a tree fell in the woods and no one heard it, did it really fall?
If it fell on my trailer ... you would hear the scream a mile off.
Happy for you, your daughter, your dog which are much more
important.

A couple of years ago we were camping near Jackson, MS. My cousin was supposed to pick us up to go out to eat. A thunderstorm came up while we were waiting and knocked down a large (12" diameter) branch from a tree. The branch came down in the site next to ours. Fortunately no one was in that site. I shudder to think of what sort of damage that branch would have done to any RV under it.

Wow - thankful with you that all were safe! My backyard looks like yours, so that pic gives me the willies.
I hope your project is going well.

Hey Alan,
Thank you! On Friday I am having the down tree and four others removed, that one was a wakeup call for me. If your yard is like mine I'd assess the viability of your trees. The one that fell was infested by carpenter ants. We had high winds come in on that Monday. The winds literally spun the tree off its root system.

Well Folks, it was six trees that I had taken out just in time too we have ice and all sorts of stuff that brings down trees.. the good news is that it really opens up the view to the lake. I may fix her up and rent her out in the summer to fisherman who want an overnight place to dock their boats.
