The Canadian Snowbirds are great too! I enjoyed the Pima Air Museum, the SAC in Omaha, love looking at the static displays of war birds and Mustangs, etc..I got to fly a piper seneca w/a pilot ..got to do some 'banking', and 'yawing'..too..
My flight instructor flew for the Blues in 75-76. Oppossing then lead solo. Back then it was the A4 Skyhawk. Inspired me enough to do 21 years as a military pilot. I still love watching them whenever I can get to a show.
I love watching or riding any aircraft...I guess that is why I live at the end of Pope AFB runway, one of my favorite campgrounds is in the landing pattern for Oceana NAS...and I married a Flight Attendant I would have LOVED to have been at Oceana last week when the last of the F15's flew in, I bet that was an awesome sight. As far as museums, if it has cars, planes, trains, etc. I will stop and look.

Why are we in this basket...and where are we going
Well, I must say technology's wonderful (when it actually works!)..I just went online to the CA Capital Airshow, and clicked on to purchase 2 tickets for the Airshow tomorrow at the Mather Airport..can't wait to see the Warthog!!
I worked A-10s Warthogs, F15s and F117s for years. We flight tested anything new before sending it to combat. Please let me know what A-10 tail number shows up. Awesome bird. Probably coming from Nellis.
At Nellis we were hangered next to the Thunderbirds.
Now I fly around Alaska doing moose and grizzly bear surveys from Elmendorf AFB. Makes you feel VERY small in Piper Supercub when F-15s, C130s and AWACs are in the pattern.
We saw them two years ago. They are awesome. Fat Albert is cool to see to. We are partial to the C130s though, since that's what my hubby builds.
My brother in law flys 3rd seat on C130's Fat Albert is awesome, I liked that almost as much as the jets Saw a big flight of C-17's on the way to the drop zone today. We still get the A-10's and the occasional odd jet putting in at Pope for refuel or emergency repairs.

If you are really interested in Aviation, starting the first week of April, in Lakeland Florida, is the Sun & Fun Fly In. There will be one of everything that flies includeing some that you've never seen. Lots of homebuilts, warbirds and ultrlights. Rotor wings, big birds and a airshow everyday for about three hours. It's a celebration of everything that remotely leaves the earth and flies. Its interesting to see a thousand airplanes all in one place.
Next time I'm out there in Lakeland, Fla, I'll be sure to check it out!..I was in St. Augustine Fla about 10 years ago and went to Kissimee and visited the Tom Reilly Vintage Aircratf place where mitchells and other warbirds are restored..terrific place..any one ever been there?
