Here's a couple of pics I got at the air show. Forgive the scratches on the pics, someone has scratched my scanner. One is Fat Albert and the other is two of the BA planes.

Yep that be Fat Albert... Chris you ought to see them load a C-5 it is about 7 stories tall, the nose tips up and the tail ramp drops down, Drive thru loading if you will It is big enough you can drive 6 Greyhound buses inside and still have room to move around them

The Air Force got its first C-5 in 1970. I saw one in 1971 when it flew over the base I was stationed at. It was going to land at my base, but the runways were not rated for the weight of one of those things. We were a T-37/T-38 base. It was going to land to support a SR-71 Blackbird that had made an emergency landing. Now that's a plane!

sky pilots

Actually Early, I took awful pix..ever hear of best laid plans that went awry?..such is the case..I had originally planned to see the static displays and get up close and personal, but as it turned out, my husband and I ended up sitting on lawn chairs outside the airport w/our son and grandson and didn't get to go inside and see the planes as close as I usually like to get..so we sacrificed our tickets this year, but played w/our grandson ..he got bored waiting for the planes..we ended up going back home but still got to see the planes fly over our heads in our front yard
