Well the first signs of spring for us is the migration of the snow birds. I live near I44 which is a a major corridor for travelers heading south and west. We have a local White Castle hamburger outlet which is on the side of the highway and convenient for viewing highway traffic. Patty and I were enjoying a lunch of belly bombers on a too warm afternoon (81 degrees) last Saturday and the number of snowbird RV's heading northeast were noticeable. Also noticeable was the west bound flow of towable RV's being towed to dealerships for sale.
This is usually our sign of spring. The migration of the flock.

What a concept!
Spring...spring..Hmm, Nope not a concept I am familiar with. I think it was a Tuesday last year. Been locked in the grips of winter since September.
Heat wave..actually above zero last night. Heating up to double digits today.
The Iditarod ends today, then we can put away the dogsleds and get the Airstream out.

Had Spring for a little while last week, then the Alberta Clipper came through and dumped 10 to 15 inches of snow on us yesterday. It was in the 50s last week, gonna be 9 above tonight.
Just south of Minneapolis

Spring
Here is how I know that spring has ALMOST sprung...
My seeds came today from Park Seed Co....
I bought new sewer hose, RVTP, awning lights last Sunday..
Robins are in the yard...
I've seen more and more TV's pulling their TT's down I-90...
It was 70 yesterday and it is snowing today!
And finally, St. Paddy;s day is FRIDAY - MY first day of spring!!
We hope you ALL have a GREAT summer and a SAFE one!

Pre-emergent has been down for a month now, fertilized this week, watering now and will fire up the John Deere and mow before heading to Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend. We're just happy as clams not to be up there with you guys in Alaska. Maybe in a few months!

Just finished our first trip of the year. Boston to Florida and back. Had an excellent trip. Stayed at Disney Fort Wilderness of which we were not all that impressed with but did so much the campsite did not matter all that much. My wife found a great bike trail north of Orlando of which we took advantage of several times. Golfing at Disney was excellent and we did spend 1 day at the parks. J you are correct about the snow bird movement. I could not believe the migration traffic comming up 95 from Florida. Looking forward to our first region 1 rally in 8 days.
